Preparing for A-level Photography
Most schools only accept students on to the Photography course if they have completed a GCSE in photography so that they already have a range of basic photography skills.
Ideally, you should at least have a GCSE in art at a C or above to take this course if you don't have the Photography GCSE. The reason for this is that the A-Level course follows the same structure of recording ideas, researching artists, experimenting with techniques and developing a final piece.
As we don't offer the GCSE, we would expect all students to complete the tasks below before starting the course in September so that you have an understanding of the basics, ready to start your A-Level.
Please submit your photos on a PowerPoint (saved as a PDF) via email to [email protected]
